Steve Maloy and I were given an amazing assignment by Fortnight Collective–come up with a name and branding for the largest cannabis store in New York state.

We were thrilled when they chose our idea–“The Union Square Travel Agency.” The goal was to create a travel agency that sends you on excursions of the mind and spirit.

Early Stage Headlines

Framing the cannabis-buying experience within a “travel agency” let us avoid the tropes, puns, and cliches associated with the marijuana space. It also elevated our story beyond “getting high,” and towards each individual’s journey of relaxation, creativity, imagination, enlightenment, or pain relief. 

 

Interior

From in-store “travel concierges” and an architectural style inspired by Saarinen's TWA Flight Center, to posters encouraging shoppers to “visit places you won’t find on any map,” the travel agency theme extends to all touch points of the brand.

EXPANSION
