T-Mobile’s flat rate to call across Europe meant they were Making the World and Easier Place to Talk. For T-Mobile’s European launch, we gave airport travelers ice-breakers to back that up, like useful phrases translated into the arriving country’s language at baggage claim.
Lifting a receiver rang a similar phone at an airport in the designated city, one being random. Travelers could talk with others around the world on these 2-minute calls.
This in-flight magazine makes it clear even the best of ice-breakers only gets you two minutes with first-classers.
