I’m a creative director and writer with a track record of generating press and online attention. I’m also a stand-up comedian who’s appeared on Netflix and written for filmmaker Michael Moore. Previously, I served as BuzzFeed’s first Chief Creative Officer and worked closely with “Zuck” at Facebook to launch Timeline. I’m currently focusing on being happy rather than being right. It’s making me miserable.
Headlines for out-of-home, social, and print to launch The North Face's Vectiv trail running shoe.
Claude, the artificial intelligence assistant from Anthropic, ensures secure and trustworthy interactions. I crafted headlines highlighting their commitment to safety, privacy, and confidentiality—like this one for the Boston area.
Named and developed the brand for NY’s largest cannabis retailer. “The Union Square Travel Agency” (“The Travel Agency” after adding new locations) specializes in excursions of the mind and spirit. From interiors inspired by Saarinen's TWA Flight Center to celebrity guest “travel agents,” our unique theme extends to all touchpoints.
Guillermo (from Jimmy Kimmel Live! ) proves there’s no better way to gather again after lockdown than in a house from VRBO. Jimmy’s team sent us a note saying this was the first time they ever moved forward with an idea from outside their writers’ room.
Made it into NY Magazine’s Approval Matrix and drove over 95,000 visitors to The Olive Garden’s website in one week. It’s been suggested this massive troll of online fame was indeed created on behalf of the “When You’re Here, You’re Family” folks. Hmmm 🤔
I asked people in prison to paint or draw people I felt should be in prison–the CEOs of companies destroying our environment, economy, and society. The project was featured on NBC and exhibited in NYC’s esteemed Petzel Gallery. 1,000 copies of the collected works sold out in a week.
After anonymously dividing NYC sidewalks into lanes for tourists and New Yorkers, I received praise from Mayor Bloomberg and revealed my identity through a collaboration with Improv Everywhere where we "enforced" the lanes.
A little something I worked on for Liquid Death. Don’t blink or you’ll miss my cameo.
Hatch is a leader in the sleep wellness space. I named and penned the tagline for their new feature that allows millions of users to record personal goodnight notes for their little ones. Also led creative development of marketing materials for the feature’s launch. (Like this video, which had to be produced on the tightest of deadlines.)
Secretly fused a bust of NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden atop a Revolutionary War memorial in NYC (my identity was later leaked). Though confiscated by police, it sparked international press coverage and debate over whether Snowden's actions were heroic, eventually finding a home in the prestigious Brooklyn Museum.
Laid traps around NYC to protect local neighborhoods from an infestation of the highly invasive subculture of hipsters. Racked up a million views in a single day.
Shared my experiences making attention-grabbing art projects around NYC. I discussed how stepping into the unknown—and not having all the details figured out from the start—can lead to bold, successful results. The talk received enthusiastic audience feedback and inspired others to take risks and bring their own ideas to life.
